Record the symptoms

Describe movement, staining, lifting flooring and when the problem is noticeable. Photos around the toilet or tub help plan access, but do not establish the source or extent of concealed damage.

Plan fixture and finish work

A repair may require temporarily removing fixtures, opening the floor and coordinating plumbing. Tile or sheet-flooring restoration may extend beyond the damaged panel to reach a practical finish boundary.

Account for what is uncovered

The condition at the toilet connection, panel edges and nearby framing is assessed after appropriate access. Added work is documented rather than assumed to be part of a small surface repair.

Photos help start the review. Access, concealed conditions and required professional review can change the construction scope.
